For the following two considerations, dolls are not entirely filled with silicone or TPE:
1. Weight Control
The density of silicone and TPE typically ranges from 0.9 to 1.24 g/cm³, which is close to the density of the human body. If a doll were completely filled with these materials, the finished product would be excessively heavy, causing significant inconvenience during use.
2. Material Protection
Silicone and TPE are relatively delicate materials. To protect them from abrasion caused by the internal skeleton and mechanical components (such as motors), a layer of foam padding is applied between the skeleton and the outer soft material during manufacturing.
Therefore, when firm pressure is applied to the doll, you may feel the internal rigid structure beneath the surface. This is a standard manufacturing practice and not a product defect.
