Silicone Doll Care 1: Avoid Moisture &Heat
Share
Here's how to avoid two major mistakes that can quickly damage your silicone doll.
Mistake 1: Incomplete Drying = Mold Risk.
Silicone repels water but traps moisture in seams, joints, and intimate cavities. In humid environments, leftover dampness can cause mold in just 2-3 days, leading to permanent stains. "Looking dry" isn't enough. Always thoroughly pat those hidden areas dry with a lint-free cloth/towel after cleaning.
Mistake 2: High Heat = Damage.
Using a hair dryer on a hot setting is risky. It can soften and distort delicate silicone features (like facial contours) and melt the adhesive for eyelashes or makeup, causing them to detach.
The Right Way:
Dab dry thoroughly with a lint-free cloth/towel.
Use a hair dryer on a cool or low-warm setting only to dry crevices.
Apply renewing powder once completely dry to maintain the skin texture.
Avoiding moisture and high heat is the key to preserving your doll's beauty and lifespan.
